What We Do

As 267 has grown I find myself challenged to be able to separate out these two statements; 'who we are' and 'what we do'?

We have always hoped and prayed that we could create a unique ministry rhythm and culture that will allow anyone who connects with us to be encouraged, ‘cheered-on’, energised and resourced. We also want to provide specific support and input that would resource youth and kids ministry. The best way for us to balance this is to spend time together, asking "what can we do for you", and "how can we support your ministry". During these times of community we will be able to share the heart of 267 and pour hopes for ministry across the area.

267 is a youth and children’s ministry aimed at ‘resourcing-growing-celebrating’ but also seeking to encourage the leaders that are involved. 267 life revolves around three words; community, collaboration and connection. We love creating community in a whole host of spaces. It could be at our monthly ‘tribe’ breakfast where sharing food and sharing stories draws us together and reminds us of our shared calling (and love of brunch!).

It might be at one of our four residentials that happen throughout the year where we gather together kids, young people and leaders for their own bespoke time away. We run trips a for schools years 3, 4 & 5, for years 6, 7 and 8 and then a New Years Houseparty for year 9 - 13. We also love taking leaders away on retreat so that they can be invested in, inspired, listened to and blessed. Community also happens each month at Fuel which is our area-wide youth group gathering, it is a space for ‘worship, teaching, prayer, food, friends and quality time with God!’

Community enables us to journey with one another and support the varied ministry each of us may be involved in. We want the times we gather to be about ‘who we are’ as well as ‘what we do’ making time to become aware of each individual calling and ministry. By prioritising genuine community we are able to speak life into one another as well as into the ministry we give to.

We run weekends away for School Years 3-5, 6-8 and 9-1st year uni students respectively. Grow in fellowship, faith and fun.
Our LOVE events try to bless locations like St Albans, Harpenden and Welwyn Garden City. Flowers, scones and balloons let us bring a little joy to the residents of these towns.
We have three main annual fundraisers. We’ve got a Fish and Chip Quiz Night, Golf Day and Wine Tasting. Whether you come and help serve wine, or help drink it, come join us!
267 Breakfast is a networking breakfast for youth and children’s workers. Come and enjoy some great free food and let us know how we can help support your ministry!
